Since 1990 Global Travel and Trade has begun promoting travel to Educational institutes, universities, historical and cultural travelers both individuals and groups.
Its initial clients were mostly Americans, British, Canadians and Australian travellers.
In 2000 two experienced travel professionals with extensive marketing and travel management background joined the company and enabled to grow the business substantially, driving revenues from $500,000 at the time of purchase to estimated revenues in excess of $30 million for 2007 – With a great average growth rate One of GT&T early insights was to create internal specialists not only focusing on specific geographic areas but also on lines of business. By creating corporate, and leisure sales teams, with specialized divisions in MICE and luxury travel, Global Travel and Trade became extremely competitive in the Travel industry. Global Travel and Trade experts continued to develop their expertise in all aspects of travel, each focusing on a specific field such as corporate, leisure, special services, luxury travel, etc.;
Further contributing to rapid and substantial growth, Global Travel and Trade added an airline ticketing facility, cruise and tour counseling, and individual customized travel planning. All of this was done with personalized service, consistently a key element in Global Travel and Trade approach to travel arrangements. Global Travel and Trade became a well-known entity in the business travel area. The agency expanded its business to include not only corporate business, but also American and European leisure travelers.
In order to position itself for further growth, Global Travel and Trade launched its offices in the United States of America. With its new locations, Global Travel and Trade was able to enhance its corporate business and to expand services to its clients.
These expanded services included VIP airport transfers, theater, special events tickets, visas/passport processing, Corporate Meeting, Accommodation, Team Building Activities, Gala Dinners and Program Presentations.
As airlines consolidated, the travel industry became more sophisticated in its application of technology, offering electronic distribution and personalized services online. Global Travel and Trade has remained on the forefront of this trend
With more than 25 employees and over 15 outside sales agents, Global Travel and Trade continues to grow with its sales and its unique quality of services. Today Global Travel and Trade offers a variety of MICE and Leisure services centralized in various specialized departments.
